Journey I 🐍

Am I allowed to want more?

Ambition was never a sin. You were told to be humble, to be small, to be content. Satan asked the same question — and changed everything.

Journey II 🔥

Why do they fear what I question?

Every authority has told you to stop asking. But curiosity is a gift, not a curse. The pursuit of knowledge has always been punished by those who want to keep it.

Journey III ⛓️

What if I've already been cast out?

Rejection, exile, otherness — Satan knows this better than anyone. If you've been told you don't belong, you've already taken the first step on the left-hand path.

Journey IV 🌑

Is darkness really all that bad?

They painted night as evil and called it scripture. But the best ideas, the deepest art, the truest selves — all emerge after dark. Satan was the first to disagree.

Why He Gets Them exists

For millennia, Satan has been caricatured — a villain in someone else's story. But if you read between the lines, a very different figure emerges: the first rebel, the first questioner, the original free thinker.

He Gets Them is a movement dedicated to reintroducing people to the real Satan: not the horned monster of fear-based theology, but a figure who understands ambition, isolation, exile, and the radical act of thinking for yourself.

Because he gets them. He always has.

Frequently Asked Heresies

He Gets Them is a cultural and philosophical movement. Whether Satan is a literal entity or a powerful metaphor for autonomy and questioning authority, we think the figure has been profoundly misrepresented — and that reexamination is worth doing.

Not at all. Many of our members still hold complicated or even loving relationships with faith. We simply believe that Satan, as a symbol, has been weaponized to silence questioners, and we're here to reclaim that symbol.

Among others, yes. If religious institutions have made you feel unwelcome, broken, or shameful for who you are — this movement exists in part for you. Satan, too, was cast out.
