Frequently Asked Heresies

We don't pretend to have all the answers. But we do have more of them than they told you were allowed.

He Gets Them is a campaign to invite people to consider Satan and why he matters today. In a world full of enforced answers, we want to create a space where anyone can come as they are, ask hard questions, and explore without fear of judgment. We don't pretend to have all the answers. Instead, He Gets Them invites curiosity, honesty, and the refusal to be satisfied with a story that was written to keep you small.
About the Campaign

He Gets Them is a cultural and philosophical movement dedicated to reintroducing people to the most misunderstood figure in the history of Western civilization. Whether you understand Satan as a literal entity, a mythological archetype, or a metaphor for radical autonomy, we believe the official story has been badly distorted — and that reexamination is both worthwhile and overdue.

We don't ask you to believe anything. We ask you to ask questions. That's always been the whole point.

He Gets Them invites everyone — whether you identify as a Satanist, an atheist, an agnostic, a lapsed believer, or someone who simply finds the mainstream answers unsatisfying — to consider Satan, his story, and why his questions still matter today.

We know many people have been hurt by religious institutions, told their doubts were sins, or simply never found a space that welcomed their real questions. We invite everyone to explore this on their own terms and at their own pace.

No. He Gets Them is not a recruitment campaign for any particular organization, church, or denomination. We believe there is something in the story of Satan for everyone. For some, this journey might lead to a formal community; for others, it might remain a private intellectual exploration.

Regardless, we're excited about people exploring this story in their own way, at their own pace, and without anyone telling them what they're supposed to conclude.

He Gets Them is led by Come Below, a group of people compelled to raise the public conversation about Satan and what he represents. The campaign is not affiliated with any single individual, political position, or organization.

Our creators, partners, and supporters represent a wide variety of backgrounds, philosophies, and experiences. We share one common conviction: that the story of Satan, properly told, has something to offer people that the dominant narrative has long suppressed.

About Satan

He Gets Them holds space for multiple interpretations. Theistic members understand Satan as a real spiritual entity. Non-theistic members understand him as one of literature and mythology's most powerful archetypes — the first rebel, the original questioner, the figure who said "no" when everyone else complied.

Both readings find something here. We don't require you to choose one before you walk through the door.

He Gets Them draws from a wide range of traditions and sources — from Gnostic Christianity to Romantic poetry to modern philosophical Satanism to ancient mythology. We are not aligned with any single denomination, tradition, or organization.

Our goal is an honest exploration of Satan as a figure, a symbol, and a story — across all of the rich, strange, contradictory traditions that have tried to understand him.

We want to be direct: we see you, and this movement exists in part because of you. People who have been told their questions were sins, their identities were flaws, or their doubts were failures — this space was built with you in mind.

Satan, too, was cast out for refusing to submit. If you've ever been told you didn't belong, you have more in common with this figure than the official story would like you to know.
Getting Involved

Explore our stories and resources, including videos, articles, and interactive experiences. Share what resonates with the people in your life. Find a coven near you — or online — to discuss these ideas with others.

Most importantly: bring your real questions. The ones you've been told are too dangerous, too dark, or too embarrassing. Those are precisely the ones we're here for.

Absolutely not. Many of our most engaged members came here as skeptics, atheists, or simply people curious about why this figure has captivated human imagination for thousands of years. We ask only that you come with genuine curiosity and a willingness to sit with questions that don't have easy answers.

All of our content, resources, and coven connections are completely free. The soul is, as always, entirely your own business.

He Gets Them is independently funded by donors who believe in the power of reexamination, intellectual honesty, and the long-overdue rehabilitation of one of history's most maligned figures. We are not funded by any corporation, political organization, or supernatural entity — though we appreciate you asking.

Still have questions?

Good. That's the whole point. Reach out, and someone from our team will respond — probably not at midnight, but we make no promises.
